Application Focus
Our Productivity Training is designed for current Outlook users and provides an interactive experience with ample opportunities for practice and instructor feedback. This basic-level productivity training combines live virtual sessions with personalized one-on-one coaching to reinforce and sustain new productivity habits and processes. This training delves into managing emails, tasks, calendars, and meetings using Microsoft Outlook and OneNote.
The training sessions consist of three 2-hour instructor led virutal trainings scheduled over three days.
Learning Objectives - Productivity Training
This training module equips participants with strategies to effectively manage and streamline their email communications. Through practical demonstrations, participants will explore key Outlook features designed to help them organize, track, and prioritize their inbox with ease.
Learning Objectives:
- Develop strategies to maintain a clean and organized inbox.
- Utilize Outlook tools such as flags, categories, and custom views to tag and track actionable items.
- Organize, save, and file emails efficiently using proven techniques.
- Automate email sorting with folders, rules, and categories.
- Transform emails into calendar events or tasks to optimize workflow.
- Learn effective approaches for managing large inboxes in Outlook.

This course provides practical strategies for managing time and priorities by leveraging Outlook’s calendar and task management features. Participants will identify and overcome common time-management challenges, reflect on their peak productivity times, and build systems to focus on critical priorities effectively.

- Apply prioritization techniques to focus on high-value tasks.
- Maximize productivity with Outlook’s calendar features for effective scheduling.
- Implement a planning method to create focus time to get priorities done
- Explore strategies to minimize interruptions and distractions.
- Leverage the To-Do app and Microsoft Planner to enhance task tracking and priority management.
Training Time: 2 hours
This course helps participants refine their meeting management skills while exploring the powerful features of Microsoft OneNote for effective note-taking and collaboration. Participants will learn strategies to conduct impactful meetings and leverage OneNote as a dynamic tool for tracking tasks and managing projects.
Learning Objectives:
- Create and lead effective meeting agendas that drive productive discussions.
- Maximize OneNote’s capabilities, including tags, templates, and seamless integration with Outlook.
- Enhance collaboration using shared OneNote notebooks within Microsoft Teams.
- Develop systems to organize, archive, and retrieve meeting notes efficiently.
Training Time: 2 hours
Following the live 3 part productivity training, each participant will receive a two-hour, individualized productivity coaching session. In these virtual coaching sessions, expert coaches work closely with each participant to apply functionalities, tailoring tools and applications to suit their unique work style and role. Coaches share screens to facilitate real-time collaboration, helping participants implement and customize Outlook and OneNote based on strategies covered in the training.

Personalized Productivity Coaching
Each participant in the training will receive a personalized, two-hour, one-on-one productivity coaching session. The goal of productivity coaching is to help participants immediately apply the learnings from the training and more effectively utilize the Microsoft 365 productivity applications available to them.
